News Release -- February 6, 2008

CSC WINS $70 MILLION CONTRACT FROM PENSION BENEFIT GUARANTY CORPORATION TO PROVIDE IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 6 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has won a contract to provide information technology (IT) infrastructure operations support to Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). CSC estimates the value of the contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year options, to be $70 million if all options are exercised.

PBGC was created by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 to encourage the continuation and maintenance of private-sector benefit pension plans, provide timely and uninterrupted payment of pension benefits and keep pension insurance premiums at a minimum. This year, PBGC will insure and protect the pensions of nearly 44 million workers and retirees nationwide in 33,330 pension plans.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will work with PBGC and its business stakeholders to restructure current IT operational support services by consolidating four current contracts, transition from technology-based offerings to service-based offerings, implement technology and process innovations, and apply a performance-based management approach to delivering services. This will maximize PBGC’s current investments, reduce total cost of ownership and optimize end-user service.

“CSC is pleased to support PBGC and its efforts to protect the retirement of our country’s workforce and retirees,” said Thomas P. Anderson, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Civil Division. “Our government and commercial experience in providing IT infrastructure services will help PBGC improve its operational efficiencies, better align with ITIL and COBIT frameworks, save costs, reduce risk, and most importantly, help protect the future of millions of retirees.”
