News Release -- July 23, 2007

CSC RECEIVES $96 MILLION HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TASK ORDER TO PROVIDE TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., July 23 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been awarded a task order to provide comprehensive technological support to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CSC estimates the value of the agreement, which has a seven-month base period, one nine-month option and one one-year option, to be approximately $96 million if all options are exercised. This task order is awarded to CSC under the CMS Professional Information Technology Services Bundle B contract, originally awarded to CSC in 2002.

Under the new task, CSC will continue providing software enhancements and maintenance as well as operations support for the Health and Human Services CMS Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MARx) system. MARx processes beneficiary enrollment and creates beneficiary level payments for organizations participating in Title I and Title II of the Medicare Modernization Act (MMA).

“We are pleased to continue applying our experience and expertise to this crucial program and delivering sound operational results to the CMS,” said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector business unit. “This new task ensures continuity of critical Medicare prescription drug coverage operations and helps position the CMS to meet critical path deadlines for MMA.”
