MCIS Zurich Enhances Productivity Through IT

According to Encik Md Adnan Md Zain, Chief Executive Officer of MCIS, this investment serves as a organizational transformation efforts as we continue to be one of the leading insurance services providers in Malaysia.
Md Adnan said that the agreement with CSA will not only allow MZ to continue focusing on providing superlative products and services to its customers – but also, this deal enables MZ to remain at the cusp of developments in office technology, in order to support MZ’s efforts to enhance operational productivity and efficiency. Also present at the ceremony were Danny Lee, Country General Manager, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd and Chuah Tai Eu, Managing Director, CSA.
This five-year agreement will see CSA as the IT services provider and HP as the hardware and mobility provider to MCIS Zurich. Key benefits of today’s agreement include MZ’s desktops and notebooks refresh in 3 phases to generate a smooth transition for technology upgrades via the HP leasing programme. Besides, CSA will provide MZ comprehensive managed services encompassing the planning, design of the standard operating environment (SOE), implementation, commissioning, technical support, inventory management and software distribution for computers.
CSA will also install Microsoft Office applications, insurance applications, Citrix client software, and Lotus Notes email in all 27 MZ offices in the country. MCIS Zurich will save up to RM1.4 million through this 3 phrase agreement beginning this May and it will be in full completion by September 2009.
