CSC partnered with a large automotive after-market industry client to help streamline their supply chain processes. The goal was to improve a network that is characterized by excessive inventory, incomplete information, high logistics costs, slow reactions, and lost profits at the retail level.
Approach
CSC worked collaboratively with the client to understand the as-is conditions and develop a system of improved and streamlined process steps. This led to the consolidation of shipments across the network and provided integrated information to all supply chain constituents.
CSC worked with the client to develop a logical architecture and application map, thus allowing the team to apply Atlas Commerce Metaprise Software and establish the client as the “Channel Master” for automotive after-market products.
Results
The results of this project are expected to be lower inventories with higher service levels and reduced logistics and transaction costs. It also should provide the client with more accurate information to improve their decision-making processes.
