Several months ago CSC signed a contract with ArcelorMittal, worldwide leader in the steel sector, to provide infrastructure managed services. Following a request for proposal process and the analysis of all the offers submitted, consultation with social partners and the corresponding notification required to ensure compliance with European legislation, this contract is now fully operational throughout Eastern and Western Europe.
The agreement encompasses 25 countries, and CSC is welcoming on board over 200 staff from ArcelorMittal. The services provided by CSC cover all ArcelorMittal IT infrastructure, and will help the company improve the efficiency of its teams and the quality of its infrastructure, while integrating new solutions and reducing its costs. CSC is providing enterprise level infrastructure services (application hosting, data centres, storage, mainframes, business continuity and disaster recovery) as well as workplace services (desktop, networking, communication and collaboration, print, security and helpdesk support).
The contract, which will run for six years, includes two options for extending its duration, by two years in each case.
