News Article -- January 08, 2012
CSC Baltic, having solid experience in the market, has joined forces with universities in Lithuania to create opportunities for growth and excellence by initiating a continuous project entitled “Teaming with Universities”. The main purpose of this project is to raise awareness of CSC Baltic, as a large and successful international company in the market, to promote it as a prospective employer and at the same time to attract new potential specialists to work here. Besides this, with the help of this project the company is striving to educate young people as future employees, by providing them with lectures by skilled practitioners, introducing opportunities for personal, academic and career development, as well as simply caring and putting effort into their future.
From the start the lectures given by CSC Baltic employees at universities in Vilnius and Kaunas were met with great enthusiasm from students, lecturers and education institutions, and as a result have led to the signing of official collaboration agreements between CSC Baltic and universities, such as Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities, Kaunas University of Technology and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. In addition, CSC Baltic is engaged in cooperation with Vilniaus Kolegija/University of Applied Sciences and in mutual projects with the International School of Management.
Collaboration between the two parties leads to higher achievements and mutual gain, as collaboration activities include not only lectures for students, but also many other participants. Lecturers as well as members of the universities also join CSC Baltic lectures and value them as an opportunity to develop and augment their qualification and experience. Also, CSC Baltic has been invited to participate during the defense of Master theses at universities and we have taken part in the IAESTE program organized by Kaunas Technology University, which focuses on bringing all European IT teaching universities together and on organizing internships or traineeships for graduates.
