Wealth Management Accelerator complies with CSC e4SM, a proven, service-oriented architecture that enables, extends and evolves the enterprise. CSC e4 enables communications between Web technology, legacy systems and commercial software components through adapters to middleware services. Using business process management (BPM) tools, these CSC e4 adapters expose business services to analysts, software engineers and end users who can collectively redesign processes in the same environment.
Wealth Management Accelerator uses industry-standard ACORD TxLife transactions embedded in a SOAP message to communicate with complex financial services environments. It interfaces with downstream systems through an easy-to-use mapping facility using proprietary or non-proprietary XML or fixed-length formats. Designed to work collaboratively with external rules-based processing engines, the system defines calculations and business rules in a platform-independent format, which can be reused across multiple systems.
Wealth Management Accelerator works collaboratively with external rules-based processing engines. It is delivered fully integrated with CSC's Visual Product Modeling System (VP/MS). VP/MS and similar products allow customers to define calculations and business rules in a platform-independent format that can be re-used by multiple application systems. This once-and-done approach minimizes rework and allows new products to be established quickly and with less effort. Wealth Management Accelerator is designed to provide data for processing by its business rules engine, and several processing models have already been developed in VP/MS to illustrate the flexibility of this approach.
Wealth Management Accelerator efficiently processes blocks of insurance policies that range in size from very large blocks to smaller, closed blocks. Either a mainframe processor or a mid-tier server can be used. In fact, the structure of Wealth Management Accelerator allows the same components to operate in both mainframe and mid-tier environments with configuration changes only. The Wealth Management Accelerator architecture supports concurrent processing, allowing your organization to process business 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
