COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION ESTABLISHES BORDER AND IMMIGRATION SOLUTIONS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., August 9 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has added a Border and Immigration Solutions (BIS) Center of Excellence to its community of 17 existing centers of excellence. Each center focuses on a different set of capabilities that target leading-edge technologies and solutions for commercial and government information technology (IT) markets.
The BIS Center of Excellence is designed to help government organizations achieve their border security and immigration goals by deploying solutions for civil identity credential issuance, visa applicants risk analysis, border event case management, and immigration services delivery and enforcement. The center’s goal is to create safer borders by enabling border and immigration management agencies to focus their enforcement and investigative resources on high-risk visa applicant and border crossing events, thereby helping detect and prevent unauthorized or illegitimate activities.
Working with other CSC divisions and centers of excellence, the BIS center provides integrated identity solutions in several areas including, civil and commercial identity management, business process management, identity-based risk assessment, immigration IT infrastructure modernization and business process transition planning, and secure inter- and intra-agency data sharing.
