Richard Ricks
Global Outsourcing Services
President
Mr. Ricks is president of CSC's Global Outsourcing Services. He is responsible
for worldwide outsourcing services and the integration of end-to-end account management and service
delivery, ensuring that CSC's clients receive consistent, seamless service provision across their
enterprise regionally and globally. Mr. Ricks is also responsible for the execution of the company's
global outsourcing strategy including outsourcing solutions definition, management and delivery.
Mr. Ricks was group president of CSC's Global Infrastructure Services (GIS).
As president of GIS, Mr. Ricks was responsible for leading the organization that provided
comprehensive infrastructure services to our customers globally. The GIS organization has
over 21,000 team members with an industry leading global operating model focused on
delivering service delivery and information technology (IT) solutions excellence to our
public sector and commercial customers. Prior to this appointment he was group president,
CSC's Americas Business Development and was responsible for leading CSC's pursuit of
opportunities for outsourcing, systems integration and consulting to Fortune 1000 enterprises.
During his tenure leading Americas Business Development, CSC experienced record order input in
the commercial market. Mr. Ricks has been a successful business leader throughout his 27-year
career. He has been recognized on numerous occasions as an innovator in the application of
information technology in meeting the needs of businesses, by CIO Magazine, Salomon Smith
Barney and Computerworld. He routinely is asked to participate in industry forums to discuss
the future of IT and associated services.
Mr. Ricks joined CSC from Nortel in January 2003. In his most recent assignment
as chief information officer (CIO), he provided the leadership required for Nortel to be a
recognized leader in IT and supply chain management. As CIO, Mr. Ricks was accountable for
all aspects of IT operations with employees and operations in over 300 locations worldwide.
He was responsible for the evolution and management of a secure, world-class network which
extended to employees, customers, partners and suppliers. As CIO, he led the activities which
resulted in substantial annual savings and a significant portion of information services being
outsourced to CSC.
