CSC SIGNS $56 MILLION CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 30 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the Department of Homeland Security's National Communications System (NCS) has awarded the company a contract extension to continue providing support for the Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) and Wireless Priority Service (WPS) programs. The contract extension has a one-year base period and a one-year option, bringing the estimated total two-year contract value to $56 million. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company's fiscal 2009 third quarter.

GETS and WPS are government priority telecommunications services that bypass network congestion for authorized callers, allowing emergency calls to be connected, even when a crisis or natural disaster overwhelms land line and wireless networks. These systems ensure that key government officials, emergency managers and first responders can place calls.

Under the terms of the contract extension, CSC will continue to provide services such as engineering and planning; implementation and integration; communications; and operations, administration and maintenance support. Additionally, CSC will provide National Security and Emergency Preparedness next generation network services to meet future telecommunications requirements. The company will also engineer and implement a satellite service pilot program for voice access to GETS and WPS.

"CSC is pleased to apply our broad range of engineering and management experience, as well as provide comprehensive support to improve national security and emergency preparedness telecommunications," said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC's North American Public Sector line of business. "CSC remains a proud partner with National Communications System in executing its critical mission to ensure priority communications during disaster situations."
