SIMON YIM JOINS CSC AS VICE PRESIDENT OF CSC’S OPERATIONS IN CHINA
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 3 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that Simon Yim has joined the company as vice president of CSC’s operations in China. He replaces Ken Wang who, after serving three years in this position, is returning to work for CSC in North America.
In this role, Yim will be responsible for business development and service delivery commitments within the region. He will report to Mike Shove, president of CSC’s Asia Group.
Yim joins CSC from EDS where he was managing director for Greater China and Korea, responsible for sales, growth, and profit and loss programs. Prior to this he was president at Atos Origin China, and before that, served as a senior vice president at Hinge Software, a software start-up in China that grew from a dozen employees to more than 1,000 over a two-year period. Yim has also held several key positions in China Hewlett-Packard Company, where he performed a host of responsibilities over his 10 years of service, ranging from directing the sales of enterprise products and solutions to leading customers in telecommunication, financial services, government and manufacturing.
“Simon’s broad skills and wealth of experience in the global IT market makes him an ideal candidate for this position,” said Shove. “China has become an important and strategic market for CSC and we look forward to Simon leading the development and growth of our business in this region.”
Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Imperial College, University of London.
