CSC RECEIVES $88 MILLION U.S. ARMY TASK ORDER TO PROVIDE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND INTEGRATION SUPPORT


FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 16 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office, Command, Control and Communications Tactical (PEO C3T) has awarded the company a task order to provide engineering, architecture, integration and readiness support services. The task order, which was competitively awarded under the Rapid Response Program government-wide acquisition contract, has a two-year base period and an estimated total contract value of $88 million. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company’s second quarter fiscal year 2009.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide a comprehensive and diverse range of support for the Army’s Future Battle Command program. Services include systems engineering and integration, network engineering, architecture development, information assurance, technology upgrade and integration, prototyping, testing, fielding and training.

The PEO C3T is responsible for all facets of developing, fielding and sustaining the Army battle command systems, and for the acquisition, development and integration of secure tactical communications for the digitized battlefield. PEO C3T provides worldwide, integrated technical support, developmental testing, field and training support in order to generate multi-functional command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance combat capability for tactical forces. This includes oversight responsibility for testing, training, logistical engineering and fielding efforts being executed by the individual project/product managers.
