Thomas Colan
Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer

Thomas Colan is vice president, controller and principal accounting officer for CSC. He is responsible for all of CSC’s global accounting and internal controls as a key member of the corporate finance team.

Mr. Colan has vast experience in large company turnaround and transformation projects, specifically those which improve accounting, accounting processes and systems, and infrastructure supporting these systems. He is tasked with applying his knowledge and expertise in streamlining global reporting and operational analysis to provide CSC’s business leaders with the right data to inform better decisions and meet CSC’s external reporting requirements.

Mr. Colan comes to CSC from Discovery Communications where he served as executive vice president and chief accounting officer. He also served as senior vice president, controller and treasurer for AOL Online/Time Warner and held financial leadership positions at GTE, Planning Research Corporation, and Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Colan holds an M.B.A. in government contracting from George Washington University and a master’s degree in Telecommunications from George Mason University. He also graduated with honors from St. Francis College in Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree.
