AEGON Equity Group (AEG) needed a life and annuity filing system. And the AEGON USA Financial Markets Division (FMD) was growing too fast to remain competitive without a workflow solution. Automated Work Distributor (AWD), the financial services industry's leading work management solution, plays an important role at both divisions of AEGON USA.
Two Divisions Use AWD for Key Functions
Pleased with CSC's implementation of AWD, AEGON Equity Group expanded the workflow solution to other areas of its enterprise. AEG developed front-end workflow solutions for its agency services, new business and customer service/point of sale areas, as well as the advertising review and commission departments.
AEGON's Financial Markets Division chose AWD as the front end to its CSC policy administration system, using it in new business application processing, changes of customer beneficiary and address, agent licensing and commissions.
Improved Accuracy Crosses Geographic Boundaries
"AWD improved the accuracy and quality of information as well as productivity," said Michelle DeCapria, senior imaging technology application analyst for AEG. "Our agency area saw an 11 percent increase in departmental productivity. New agent processing time decreased by 32 percent the first year and an additional 49 percent the second year."
For AEGON FMD, the biggest benefit has been the ability to immediately access information from anywhere. "When our division gets busy, we can offload work processing to AEG in Florida," said Selita Jansen, AWD administrator at AEGON FMD. "That wouldn't have been possible before. There's no way we would have shipped paper down there for processing!"
