Randy has been with CSC since 2001 and is currently a member of the senior management team of CSC’s Cloud Business Unit. In this global role, Randy is responsible for the product development and engineering, long-term strategy, alliance partner relations, competitive analysis, product design, and contributes to revenue capture and growth for a portfolio of CSC Trusted Cloud Computing Offerings and Cloud Services. Randy’s focus has been on the Infrastructure as a Services layer, IaaS enabling technologies and Cloud Orchestration/Brokering Services. Randy was a recipient of the 2009 CSC Chairman’s award for excellence for his work on the OASIS datacenter infrastructure optimization methodology. See the OASIS video.

From Sept 2008 until April 2009, Randy managed the transition of CSC’s product development team for platform services (mainframe, midrange, storage and data protection) through a major reorganization. Prior to this reorganization, Randy was a solution manager in the New Business Services group until September of 2008. As a solution manager, Randy undertook a critical leadership role in the successful Chrysler pursuit-a $625M contract. Until August 2007, Randy was the Global Midsize Product line lead for the Compute Market Solutions group. Under Randy’s leadership, significant progress was made in the packaging and evolution of CSC’s virtualization, Wide Area File Services, Server Based Computing and datacenter automation solution offerings. Prior to this role, he served as a domain specialist in New Business Services from August 2004 to March 2006 and is still called upon to support especially complex or demanding bids in an advisory role.

Prior to his stint in New Business Services, Randy led the team responsible for managing the Nortel Networks North American UNIX environment. There he gained a reputation as a skilled turnaround manager with excellent client facing skills. Randy was recognized by the CSC service delivery management community as an extraordinary service restoration team leader able to respond quickly and effectively to major outages under intense pressure. Before joining CSC, Randy’s 14 years with Nortel networks and Bell Northern Research (BNR) in Ottawa, ON, Canada included responsibilities for developing a multi-year/multi-site mainframe consolidation program, leading the development of a global corporate directory database and managing a team of database programmers and administrators responsible for Nortel’s mission-critical procurement environment.
