TICS


A fully automated ticketing system with extensive links to reservations and accounting systems.

The automated ticketing system TICS controls all of the administration related to ticketing and handles all ticketing data. The purpose of the ticketing system is to limit the number of manual procedures involved in the preparation of tickets: handling of tickets, invoicing and issue.

FunctionalityFunctionality comprises ticket issue and stock control:
  • Functionality comprises ticket issuance according to IATA ticketing rules
  • Loading of ticket stock into the ticket printer (Transitional Automated Tickets TAT), and communication with the Passenger Accounting System PAS for automatic accounting at the time of ticket issuance Handling of different types of documents, e.g. TAT and ATB
  • Automatic data validation according to IATA rules and accounting procedures safeguards the data quality, e.g. form of payment, ticket number, and agent identification
In addition to the main functionality, TICS includes many special features, reducing the need for manual administration procedures:
  • Ticket number update in both Amadeus and ResAid- Interface to self-service machines
  • Time Initiated Ticketing
