eTicket
The fully automated Electronic ticketing system with extensive links to the airline's most vital systems.
The purpose of the Electronic ticketing system is to take the ticketing product into the next generation of ticketing, creating Electronic Tickets instead of physical documents like ATB or TAT ticket. It also creates the possibility to automate several of the manual processes needed for today's handling of ATB and TAT tickets.
Functionality
Functionality comprises several areas needed to be able to do Electronic Ticketing:
- Functionality comprises ticket issuance according to ticketing rules for Electronic Ticketing
- Automatic data validation according to IATA rules and accounting procedures, safeguards the data quality, i.e. form of payment, ticket number and agent identification
- Interline with other Carriers' ETKT systems
- Interactive communication with Ground Handling systems for Check-in of passengers with ETKT
- Reporting of accounting data and Flown usage data
- Control for issuance of ETKT by market, segment, CRS/GDS and Interline agreements
- Validation of Reservation changes against Electronic Ticket (if hosted in RESAID also)
