Exceed Components

Built on an innovative, function-rich, flexible design, Exceed® can be implemented as a total solution or one component at a time. Exceed's integrated set of components extend, enhance and evolve legacy systems as well as provide for system replacement. Exceed architecture provides you with a thin-client presentation and an open, flexible architecture based on industry-standard ACORD XML. Policy Adminstration - A full-featured policy solution that provides you with an integrated approach to complete policy processing. Intelligent screens reduce entry time on all transactions, speeding up the entire policy processing process. Additional attributes of this component include flexible data capture, quick quote, automated rating and underwriting, and real-time information ordering.

Billing & Collections - A complete billing solution to facilitate the steady flow of premium dollars into your investment portfolios. Customer service representatives, agents and customers can enter, review and edit customer-focused billing information in real time through a standard Internet browser. Intelligent screens reduce entry time on all transactions, speeding up the entire customer service and exception process. Additional attributes of this component include multiple billing methods; flexible, company-defined business rules; and quick allocation of cash.

Claims Administration
With a fully integrated approach to supporting the entire claims process, CSC’s Exceed Claims Administration is the industry’s most complete claims management system. It serves as an electronic claim folder for all claim-related information and supports all core claims functions including first notice of loss, policy/coverage verification, automatic assignment of claims, workload management and financial processing.

Client Management - Puts key information into your hands with comprehensive profiles on all customers. Client Management is the core of Exceed and represents the logical first step in achieving a true customer-oriented, integrated systems environment — ensuring data integrity. Additional attributes of this component include functions for marketing opportunities such as cross-selling.

Contracts & Commissions - Manages information that describes an agency's contract with your company. Maintains pertinent information, such as licensing, hierarchy, personal information, commission rates and contract rules. Additional attributes of this component include sales force compensation and commission rate assignment.

Work Management - Integrated set of functions that automate the management and tracking of work assignments within the Policy, Claims, Billing and Collection components allowing you to streamline workflows and continuously improve your processes. Additional attributes of this component include free form notes and comments, graphical organizational representation and supervisor reassignment.

Document and Image Management - CSC's Document Solutions and Media View™ provide you with seamless integration for document, image and media management so you can reduce costs and improve customer service. With these components you will have the ability to speed up policy issuance, reduce storage cost and minimize paper dependencies. Additional attributes of these components include seamless integration, easy access to policy files, printing, online viewing, e-mailing and archives.

Information Ordering - With this rules-based information-ordering program, insurance companies can order third-party information, such as motor vehicle reports, claims history reports and credit information, in real time or in batch mode, reducing new business cycle time from days to minutes.

Business Processor - Integrated toolkit that allows underwriters, actuaries or business analysts to dramatically reduce programmer involvement in creating edits, rates and underwriting rules, reducing new product development time.

Business Intelligence - Unites all information, providing an easy way to build business reports. The Management Information System component of Exceed consolidates and summarizes the data you need for all types of management and statistical reporting. This reporting data is available in a separate set of data marts that enable easy access and query for analysis. Data is available with any reporting tool, including CSC's Business Intelligence Solutions (BIS).
