GROUPAMA INSURANCES SIGNS UP FOR CSC’S COLOSSUS

Aldershot, 26th January 2007 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC), a leading global information technology (IT) services firm, announced today that Groupama Insurances the UK subsidiary of European financial services giant Groupama, has signed a five-year licence for CSC’s Colossus personal injury claims solution. This agreement follows a nine-month trial that demonstrated Colossus’ business value.

Under the agreement, Groupama’s personal injury claims handlers in Borehamwood and Portsmouth, UK, will be using the Web-based version of Colossus to support their evaluation of general damages in personal injury claims.

Colossus is the general insurance industry’s most comprehensive and widely used knowledge-based claims evaluation system. Today claims handlers at more than 50 companies worldwide use Colossus to evaluate general damages. The system promotes fair and consistent personal injury claims assessment through the use of software that is based on thousands of rules intended to help adjusters assess a wide variety of claims and medical information.

“During the trial, Colossus became an important part of our claims process and its roll-out will further enhance the excellence of Groupama’s claims operations,” said Graham Gibson, Groupama’s UK Claims director. “We have chosen a solution that is clearly the market leader and benefits from a large and active user group.”

“Groupama Insurances' decision to use Colossus further validates CSC's position as a leader in financial services solutions,” said John Maitz, CSC vice president of general insurance in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “We welcome Groupama as an important new member of our user community.”
