CSC TEAMS WITH QUIPOZ TO IMPROVE INSURANCE LEGACY SYSTEMS
Sydney, 14 December, 2006: Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC: NYSE) today announced it has formed an alliance with local Australian software company, Quipoz, to offer a streamlined solution for insurance companies wanting to upgrade their aging legacy systems.
Under the alliance, CSC will use the Quipoz Transformation Engine (Q-TE) with CSC’s insurance offering, Insure/90, to provide transformation services. These services will enable insurance companies to automatically convert their legacy systems to modern applications, significantly reducing traditional conversion costs and risk.
“Insurance companies are still running systems that are cumbersome, slow and have high labour costs,” said Chris Cook, Vice President Business Development for CSC’s Australian operations. “Simultaneously, traditional approaches to upgrade legacy systems have involved considerable risk and cost. With this alliance, we can automate the process, delivering the results our clients need.”
“Quipoz has made a substantial investment in providing a solution that transforms legacy applications and enables insurance companies to operate on the latest architectures such as J2EE & .NET,” said Quipoz Chief Technology Officer Don Tonkin. “We look forward to working with CSC.”
