EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 12 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Sammons Financial Group (SFG) is the first life insurance and annuity company to implement CSC’s Customer Service Accelerator software. The system will enable Sammons to consolidate back-office insurance administration systems without disrupting business units and customer service processes.
SFG currently uses Customer Service Accelerator in two locations as its common customer-service front end for CSC’s CyberLife system and three legacy insurance policy administration systems not yet consolidated onto CSC’s policy administration platform.
CSC’s Customer Service Accelerator provides a single, Web-enabled interface for customer service transactions, simplifying use and shortening training cycles for new staff. It also improves access to insurance policy data by providing call center representatives and back-office staff with a consolidated view of customer information and contact history. Customer Service Accelerator is the only customer service system that includes a call center component, internal rules engine, business process management, and integrated workflow and electronic imaging capabilities.
“Sammons’ consolidation strategy is to convert significant portions of our insurance business onto CSC’s CyberLife administration system,” said Gary Helder, SFG vice president of Administration. “Adding Customer Service Accelerator allows us more flexibility around our integration schedule.”
“Implementing Customer Service Accelerator in just eight months at Sammons’ Sioux Falls and Fargo locations was a significant achievement by the Sammons and CSC team,” said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Annuity Solutions division of CSC's Financial Services Group. “The new software will contribute to Sammons’ business results by supporting superior service and high productivity as the company grows.”
