CSC P&C INSURANCE INDUSTRY CONFERENCE TO FOCUS ON RISK MANAGEMENT

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 21 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that its next Executive Innovation event for property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry executives will take place May 8-9 at Hilton Head, S.C. The conference will focus on identifying and managing risks facing P&C insurers today.

The rapid rate of business change, threats of terrorism and other man-made disasters, and the increasingly rapid introduction of new products and services are creating new business risks for the P&C industry. Keynote presentations for this event focus on the specialty insurance and surplus lines market – historically the first to meet emerging insurance risks.

Presenters include Mike Ardis, director of technology and communications for the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices; Michael Paul, vice president of finance for the Insurance Corporation of Hannover; and David Brinkman, senior vice president at Benfield, a leading independent reinsurance and risk intermediary.

“The ability to rapidly identify new risks and execute changes to address them is a critical component of an effective executive strategy,” said Ray August, president of the P&C Insurance division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “Our objective with this event is to share experience that helps insurers mitigate the effects of risk and enables them to continue achieving results in line with their business goals.”

CSC sponsors several executive-level forums each year to address specific challenges and solutions in the insurance industry. For more information about CSC’s insurance industry capabilities and offerings, please visit www.csc.com/insurance.
