SAMMONS FINANCIAL GROUP SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR CSC’S CUSTOMER SERVICE ACCELERATOR SYSTEM

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 8 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Sammons Financial Group (SFG) is the first organization to license CSC’s Customer Service Accelerator software, which it will use to simplify its business processes as the company pursues its growth strategy.

In 2003, SFG signed a 10-year license for CSC's comprehensive suite of life and annuity software offerings, including CyberLife, nbAccelerator, PerformancePlus and VP/MS, with plans to consolidate significant portions of its life insurance and annuity business onto the CyberLife administration system. Adding Customer Service Accelerator will help SFG consolidate existing blocks of life insurance business that reside on different policy administration platforms and more quickly integrate any future acquisitions. SFG also will be able to continue providing first-class customer support while converting data from new acquisitions into CyberLife.

“Customer Service Accelerator is exciting technology with broad functionality and the best user interface I have seen,” said Gary Helder, SFG vice president of Administration. “Using it will allow Sammons Financial Group to continue to grow our business, both organically and through acquisition, while having a positive effect on service levels and productivity.”

The Customer Service Accelerator system provides a single, Web-enabled, front-end interface for all customer service transactions, simplifying use and shortening training cycles for new staff. It improves access to insurance policy data by providing call center representatives and back-office staff with a consolidated view of customer information and contact history. It also offers managers an integrated view of business activity to identify backlogs or bottlenecks and redeploy resources. Customer Service Accelerator is the only administrative system consolidator that includes a call center component, external rules engine, business process management, and integrated workflow and electronic imaging capabilities.

“We value this extension of our relationship with Sammons Financial Group,” said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Annuity Solutions division of CSC's Financial Services Group. “CSC’s experience in the insurance industry will help Sammons achieve results in line with business goals and realize the benefits of acquisitions faster than ever before.”

Customer Service Accelerator supports any type of insurance administration system and includes software modules for integrating with key CSC software. SFG will integrate Customer Service Accelerator with third-party policy administration systems as well as CSC’s CyberLife.
