Training, Modeling & Simulation
Training is not what it used to be. New workplace technologies, frequent personnel reassignments, and shifting relationships between organizations are just some of the reasons that training has become an integral part of working. No longer on the sidelines, training is increasingly part of the job. As important, it’s no longer necessary to travel in order to train, with distance learning and Web-based training now common.
Furthermore, training in the 21st century has entered a new world -- many worlds, in fact, often virtual ones. Today's modeling and simulation technologies can create training environments very much like the real thing. The result? Training for inherently dangerous operations can be completely safe and strikingly effective, while expensive equipment is conserved.

How CSC Can Help
With so many options available, the first challenge when training is needed may be choosing the best approach for a client's need. CSC has developed and delivered all kinds of training for all kinds of clients and purposes. We know firsthand when Web-based or self-paced modules are the best choice, when high-tech simulations will justify the client's investment, and when a traditional classroom approach is effective. We also have extensive experience in developing all kinds of training products and in delivering training from across a room or across an ocean.
Our Training Center of Excellence draws together CSC's top experts, best practices and technologies. The know-how resident in this Center benefits every training project CSC undertakes. Learn more about our Training Center of Excellence.
The Center has served the training needs of many clients such as the U.S. Army Flight School at Ft. Rucker, U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigation, Veterans Benefits Administration, Blue Cross Blue Shield and, of course, CSC.
CSC Training in the Press

Modeling & Simulation in Other Contexts
Modeling & Simulation (M&S) are powerful tools with many applications, and CSC is skilled in their use. We produce hydrodynamic models that help the U.S. Navy design ships. To support administrative efficiencies, we can employ M&S to improve interaction between operations and acquisition activities. Furthermore, we have the expertise to construct M&S environments from reusable components in an open systems architecture, to produce easily affordable solutions.
