News Release -- June 20, 2001

CSC NEIGHBORS NAMED AS FINALIST FOR VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

At an honorary luncheon on April 19, 2001, Huntsville, Alabama-based CSC Neighbors placed as a finalist for the Volunteer of the Year Award in the Corporate Division of the Partners for Charity Awards and Recognition Program. Winners and finalists were selected from 76 nominations in four categories: youth, adult, group, and corporate.

Sponsored by the Volunteer Center, The Huntsville Times, and State Senator Jeff Enfinger, the awards recognize individuals and groups who have consistently supported nonprofit agencies and their activities during the year.

CSC was recognized for maintaining the Neighbors program, which was
started by Nichols Research. In 2000, CSC Neighbors collected 10,000 cans of food for the WAFF-TV Channel 48 Christmas Charities Can-a-thon and raised $7,800 for the American Cancer Society.
