U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Combat Support System

The Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS) is a major initiative to transform the way the Air Force performs its logistics business. ECSS creates an enterprise-wide solution in an integrated data environment for universal access to consistent, real-time information. CSC is prime contractor.

ECSS targets more than 400 legacy systems for replacement, including most Air Force Logistics retail, wholesale and depot maintenance and overhaul systems. They will be replaced with a single solution set of business processes and software applications, based upon an Oracle Suite, which will enable proactive planning and scheduling, enhanced and standardized reporting, and total asset visibility across the enterprise.
