GSA Alliant

ALLIANT is a proposed replacement contract to the GSA ANSWER and Millennia contracts to provide flexible, innovative solutions to support the federal government’s needs in its daily operations, its protection of infrastructure, its fight against terrorism, and the development and marketing of emerging technologies

Per the Second DRAFT RFP released by GSA on June 1, 2006, the scope of the Alliant Contract includes any and all components of an integrated IT solution, including all current and any new technologies which may emerge during the life cycle of the Basic Contract. The Basic Contract provides IT solutions through performance of a broad range of services which may include the integration of various technologies critical to the services being acquired. This includes Infrastructure and related services, Applications and related services, and IT Management Services to support agencies’ integrated IT solution requirements.

In order to provide a common framework for defining and understanding the components of an IT solution, Alliant refers to terminology included in the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture (DoDEA). However, usage of this terminology or structure is not required within individual Orders placed on this contract.
