CSC EXTENDS SOFTWARE AND SERVICES RELATIONSHIPS

CSC’s Exceed Software License and BPO Agreement Renewed

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 23, 2004 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that two affiliates of the Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies have signed six-year contracts with CSC to renew a property and casualty (P&C) insurance software license and outsourcing services.

A CSC client for more than 25 years, Tennessee Farm uses CSC’s software products for all insurance lines of business. Under one of the new contracts, CSC will continue to provide Tennessee Farmers Assurance Company with business process outsourcing (BPO) support for its non-standard automobile insurance business, one of the fastest growing markets in the U.S. insurance industry.

Under the other new contract, Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company, which leads all other insurance companies, including major national firms, in writing property and casualty policies in Tennessee, has extended its license for CSC’s Exceed, the company’s comprehensive software for the P&C insurance industry. Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance will implement Exceed Billing solution, which includes client and work management, disbursement and financial management components. The company will also use Exceed’s Internet browser to access the software, reducing Exceed maintenance costs across the desktop environment.

“CSC’s software and services have allowed us to grow significantly without adding large numbers of staff, particularly in non-standard insurance,” said Matthew M. Scoggins Jr., chief executive officer of Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies. “We look forward to applying Exceed’s efficiencies to our other product lines.”
“CSC’s offerings are designed to help insurers like Tennessee Farm reduce costs, improve customer service and respond quickly to market changes,” said Ray August, president of the P&C Insurance division of CSC's Financial Services Group. “We appreciate Tennessee Farm’s recommitment to Exceed and CSC’s services.”
