CSC SIGNS BUSINESS PROCESS OUTSOURCING CONTRACT WITH UNITRIN MULTI LINES INSURANCE

Carrier to Rapidly Roll Out New Internet Services, Commercial Lines Products to Agents

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 3 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced a seven-year agreement with Trinity Universal Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Unitrin, Inc. (NYSE: UTR). Under the agreement, CSC will support Unitrin Multi Lines Insurance’s commercial lines of insurance with business process outsourcing (BPO) and Internet-based services.

A CSC client since 1982, Unitrin Multi Lines Insurance, which provides insurance products in 30 states, used CSC’s technology to establish its X-Sell-A-Rate agent Web site two years ago. Under the new agreement, CSC will help Unitrin extend its Web capability to include a full range of commercial insurance services to more than 2,000 independent agents.

CSC will also support Unitrin’s general liability, commercial property, commercial automobile, inland marine, crime and workers’ compensation insurance processed in its regional structure. CSC’s Internet-based software, which was designed with an industry-standard ACORD XML architecture, will help Unitrin Multi Lines rapidly expand by giving agents the tools to perform online rating, quoting and electronic policy submission. Using CSC’s BPO services, which will include customer service, billing and accounting, and reporting and compliance, Unitrin Multi Lines also plans to introduce a Preferred Package product with advanced coverage options and easy quoting capabilities for selected classes of policyholders.

“This agreement reflects Unitrin Multi Lines’ ongoing commitment to expand its commercial lines through the introduction of mission-critical, point-of-sale services to our agents,” said Jim Schulte, Unitrin Multi Lines president. “CSC has a proven track record in the BPO sector, managing more than $1 billion in premiums over 12 lines of P&C business, so we’re confident that CSC can help us deliver high levels of service to our agents and insureds.”

“Through our outsourcing relationship, Unitrin Multi Lines will be able to get new products to market faster and access CSC’s insurance specialists to support its business initiatives,” said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Division of CSC's Financial Services Group.
