CSC LICENSES AUTOMATED WORK DISTRIBUTOR TO AVIVA

Comprehensive Work Management Software to Increase Insurer’s Efficiency

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 9, 2004 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Aviva Life Insurance Company (Aviva) has, through its affiliate, Aviva Service Corporation, licensed Automated Work Distributor (AWD) software to streamline operations at the company’s two processing centers in North Quincy, Mass., and Buffalo, N.Y.

AWD is a business process management, electronic imaging, workflow and customer management system that helps companies reduce costs, enhance customer service and achieve new levels of productivity. AWD is a product of DST Technologies, Inc. CSC, which is the exclusive distributor of AWD to the insurance industry, provides project management, business reengineering and information technology (IT) services for its clients’ AWD implementations.

“We have experienced significant growth in the past and expect that trend to continue, putting increased pressure on our human and technology resources,” said Sean O’Brien, vice president of administration at Aviva. “In an increasingly competitive environment, the AWD software and CSC’s support will help our operations staff improve services to Aviva producers and customers, and support continued growth.”

“With AWD’s built-in management tools, Aviva managers will be able to monitor their business in real time, allowing them to eliminate the use of paper, reduce process steps and improve turnaround for new business and policy service,” said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Health Division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “This is another example of CSC delivering business process and technology improvements that help insurers transform their businesses.”
