CSC’s LitigationAdvisor/Case Management Tool Further Streamlines Legal Management ProcessEL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 5, 2004 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) introduced today its LitigationAdvisor/Case Management (LA/CM) tool, the latest addition to the company’s LitigationAdvisor software product line. LitigationAdvisor, which has helped clients in the United States and Europe reduce their legal case management costs by 10 percent or more, is the industry’s most comprehensive strategic planning and legal process management software.
The new case management software automates the entire legal process from electronic assignment of cases to counsel to final disposition, giving case managers real-time information about the workload, qualifications and performance of their in-house and outside attorneys. Case management features include interactive budgeting and planning; client-configured online case assessment and evaluation reports; online settlement history and management; collaborative document management and end-of-case legal performance review. In addition, LA/CM users can monitor legal bill submissions against approved budgets, rates and staffing plans.
“LitigationAdvisor/Case Management makes key information available to case managers and outside counsel at the click of a mouse,” said Lance Albright, vice president of Legal Solutions for CSC’s Financial Services Group. “LA/CM saves time and resources that would otherwise be spent returning telephone calls, retrieving faxes and in meetings to resolve not only billing questions, but strategic issues as well.”
LA/CM uses Microsoft’s .Net software development platform, making it easy to modify and access through a standard Web browser. Organizations can use LA/CM in-house or CSC can maintain the software in its secure hosting facility.
