CSC, ST. PAUL EXTEND CLAIMS SOFTWARE AGREEMENT FOR SEVEN YEARS

Austin, Texas, July 14 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced that the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, St. Paul, Minn., has extended its license of COLOSSUS, a bodily injury claims application, until 2006.

COLOSSUS, one of CSC's casualty claims management solutions, is the most comprehensive knowledge-based system used by the insurance industry to assimilate and examine facts relevant to bodily injury claims. Through interactive consultations, COLOSSUS accesses more than 10,000 rules to help evaluate more than 600 trauma- induced injuries, providing expert guidance for both novice and seasoned claims professionals.

"We are very pleased to have consolidated and extended our COLOSSUS contract with CSC for another seven years," said Rex Humerickhouse, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company corporate claim manager. "The investment in our COLOSSUS program affirms management's commitment to the program and the results it delivers."

Joe Jensen, senior vice president of CSC's Financial Services Group Americas Division, added, "St. Paul shares our goal of delivering consistent quality products and services to the customer. COLOSSUS, which takes the guesswork out of a historically subjective segment of the claims process, can help them do this."

St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company merged with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company in 1998. Both companies used the COLOSSUS application, and the new agreement brings the two companies under one contract.
