EL SEGUNDO, Calif. and KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Aug. 28 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC - News), a leading global information technology (IT) services company, and Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), Malaysia's largest banking group, today announced that they have signed a 10-year IT outsourcing agreement under which CSC will provide comprehensive computing services to Maybank. The contract is valued at approximately $342 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will assume responsibility for Maybank's mainframe, midrange, desktop, help-desk and network infrastructure functions in Malaysia and Singapore. CSC will provide services in these countries primarily through its affiliates, Computer Systems Advisers (M) Berhad (CSAM) and CSA Automated Pte Ltd. (CSA).
