CSC RECEIVES ‘POSITIVE’ RATING IN P&C INSURANCE POLICY ADMINISTRATION MARKETSCOPE REPORT
FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 8 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that its Exceed Policy software for tier one property and casualty (P&C) carriers received a "Positive" rating in Gartner's MarketScope for North American Property and Casualty Insurance Policy Administration Systems report, authored by Stephen Forte, a Gartner research director.
CSC's Exceed was one of several policy administration systems in North America evaluated by Gartner in the March 30, 2009, report. The MarketScope included only systems that offer easily decoupled components (that can be sold as stand-alone products), have at least five policy administration clients in production in North America and are gaining interest among the Gartner customer base. Criteria for the ratings include: market understanding, product strategy, product/service capabilities, overall viability, customer experience, sales strategy and sales execution/pricing.
"In the past year, we have invested significantly in our Exceed suite of components to deliver increased client choice and value," said Jim Cook, president, Business Solutions and Services Sector. "We remain committed to helping insurers achieve immediate operational success while positioning them for future growth made possible through our innovative, incremental upgrade process and the flexibility of CSC's service-oriented architecture."
With multiple new clients in 2008, CSC's Exceed Policy is a scalable, function-rich policy administration solution that provides an integrated approach to complete policy processing and incorporates Web 2.0 technology for client-defined user interfaces. Exceed is built on an open, service-oriented architecture that will be available in a Java version, Exceed J, in mid-2010 for more platform and database flexibility.
