CSC RECEIVES $192 MILLION ARMY CONTRACT TO PROVIDE C4ISR REGIONAL SUPPORT CENTER SUPPORT SERVICES
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 30 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM LCMC) has awarded the company a task order to provide command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) regional support center support services. The new services will support the Army’s Product Manager Robotic and Unmanned Sensors and the Product Manager Countermine and Explosive Ordnance Demolition. The task order has a one-year base period and two one-year options, bringing the estimated total three-year task order value to $192 million. The value of this task order was included in CSC’s Oct. 24, 2008, news release detailing previously unannounced contract awards for the second quarter of fiscal 2009.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide qualified technicians and logistics personnel to provide maintenance for a collection of networked battlefield sensors and other C4ISR systems throughout Southwest Asia. This effort will be performed using ISO 9000 certified processes and procedures developed for the worldwide regional support centers.
