February 11th-13th/Mumbai

CSC, for the fourth time in a row, will sponsor the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2009 – a milestone event that will mark NASSCOM’s 20th year. NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2009, is the prestigious global conclave hosted for the IT-BPO industry in India. The event is expected to bring together over 800 companies and attract over 1500 delegates, both from overseas and India. Additionally, NASSCOM 2009 will have over 120+ speakers who will address 30+ sessions spread across the three days of the conference.

NASSCOM has invited Mr. Russ Owen, President, Americas Commercial Group, CSC to present his thoughts on 'Emerging Verticals – The Road Best Traveled: Strategies, Challenges and What’s Ahead' at the conference.

The Indian IT-BPO industry is entering its next phase of growth in an environment fraught with challenges and turbulence. While the sector has expanded in size and stature and significantly enhanced its value proposition to global customers, it needs to focus on how it can sustain its edge and differentiators in the years ahead.

While the conference will get flagged off with sessions centered around the “Looking back to Look ahead,” theme that will reflect on the 25 years of the IT-BPO industry and the important leanings from the journey, Day 2 will be devoted to outlining the road ahead for the sector in keeping with the theme, “TransformaITive: Visioning Ahead”. The discussions will close with speakers talking about how companies can “Step up and Step on it,” and define emerging business models, leadership strategies that need to be architected and executed by IT-BPO organizations to succeed in the dynamic, connected world.

As the IT software and services industry gears up to touch USD 50 billion in FY 2008-09 and stay on track to achieve USD 60 billion in exports during FY 2009-10, the conference will use the platform of the NASSCOM Leadership Forum to discuss the new industry drivers and enablers that will take the sector forward. The aim will also be to develop a platform where Indian and global companies, customers and analysts can come together and define the strategies and challenges for the next decade.
