Aerospace

CSC has been creating history in the aerospace sector since 1961. From designing and developing the first automated air traffic control system to helping NASA put the first man on the moon, CSC has been behind the scenes supporting the industry with leading edge technology and best practices from around the world. From mission planning and spaceflight operations to creating more efficient production and manufacturing systems, CSC has helped achieve the objectives of some of the world’s largest aerospace companies.

At CSC in India, we support development and maintenance of various aerospace and defense systems, IT & wireless systems, land systems along with some of the corporate systems. Since data privacy is critical while working on such kinds of systems from offshore, we use data masking and encryption to mitigate the security challenge. We bring to these challenges a legacy of expertise in systems design, integration, software, communications, and operations and maintenance – capabilities backed by proven methods and tools that are the best the industry has to offer. We also bring a responsive management culture, which is our foundation for building business relationships based on trust.

Currently, CSC manages the largest aerospace outsourcing contracts ever awarded with one of the global defense and aerospace company, among many other customers. To enable the client to respond cost effectively to changes in business needs and market conditions, CSC has upgraded the company’s global network infrastructure and implemented an enterprise-wide service improvement programme producing savings to the client’s IT costs of £45 million in 2002. These long-term client relationships have placed CSC at the cutting edge of technology management. Similarly, CSC India supports five business units of another major client.

Defense

We bring a legacy of long-term experience in working with all levels of the defense community. From developing common operating environments for global command and control systems to developing and integrating training, logistics and combat systems, CSC supports service personnel from the foxhole to the command post.

CSC has extensive global experience in delivering major projects and infrastructure to the defense community. CSC has served as a primary defense contractor to the US, Europe and Australia for more than 25 years. In 2000, we made a commitment to the UK public sector after establishing a significant presence in the commercial and aerospace markets in the UK. Since then, CSC’s partnership approach has resulted in major outsourcing business in this market and has reinforced CSC’s commitment to the public sector.
