CSC Names Malcolm Healthcare Group Vice President, Provider Solutions


EL SEGUNDO, Calif., October 1 — Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) today announced that it has appointed Christine Malcolm to the newly created position of vice president, provider solutions, for its Healthcare Group. In this role, Malcolm will oversee development and commercialization of the company’s provider solution set, including consulting, applications and outsourcing.

"In order to offer a well-targeted, integrated solution set to the provider marketplace, it is imperative that we have executive leadership with a finger on the pulse of this group," said Arthur H. Spiegel, president of CSC’s Healthcare Group. "Ms. Malcolm’s extensive experience in the this arena will play a critical role in the ongoing development of our provider solution."

Malcolm joined CSC from the University Health System Consortium, where she was responsible for supporting the business strategies of more than 75 academic health centers and networks. Prior to that, she served as vice president of the University of Chicago Hospitals for more than seven years, and as a director in the central region healthcare consulting practice at Coopers & Lybrand. Her accomplishments, and those of the teams under her leadership, have received national recognition for their creativity and innovation.
