A Roadmap for the Avalanche of Deadlines

The combination of HITECH, healthcare reform programs such as Value-Based Purchasing and Readmissions Reduction Program and the transition to ICD-10 has placed a lot of must-do items on the to-do lists of healthcare executives over the next few years. The sheer number of deadlines and the periodic updates to programs and related regulations makes this very difficult to keep straight. CSC developed two timelines that graphically depict the current sequence of deadlines under all of these programs through 2016.

CSC granted exclusive publication rights to Healthcare Informatics to include the timelines in an article, "An Avalanche of Deadlines and Timelines in Healthcare," which appeared in the May 2012 issue of the magazine.
