TeleServices for Better Health: Better Outcomes, More Cost-Effective
Increasingly, organizations are using TeleServices to extend health services to patients across diverse settings and to engage them more actively in their own care. New TeleServices programs and technologies in healthcare are continually being tested to see which approaches offer the greatest value. A key question for healthcare organizations, policymakers, and healthcare consumers is how cost-effective are these approaches?
Research shows that for a variety of conditions, organizations have been able to deploy these technologies to deliver high-quality services in an efficient and cost-effective way. In this paper, document some examples of how TeleServices are providing real benefits and lowering costs. We argue that leaders who are engaging with TeleServices today are well-positioned to realize value and to seize new opportunities as they arise.
