ECM and Collaboration on the Documentum Platform

FirstDoc is designed to help life sciences companies with the enormous challenge and expense of meeting increased regulatory scrutiny and quality procedures. Specifically, it helps companies meet Part 11 of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Part 11) to ensure that electronic records and signatures are equivalent to those based on traditional paper based methods.

Recently, CSC introduced two new products that bring powerful SharePoint collaboration capabilities together with FirstDoc as well as directly to the Documentum platform:

•    FirstDoc SharePoint Experience (SPX) is a cost-effective way for our clients to increase user access in a controlled SharePoint setting including CSC’s Clinical Collaboration Portals where the focus is on secure and effective collaboration between partner and sponsor.

•    FirstDoc Collaborative Review Experience (CRX) offers controlled real-time co-authoring and edit capabilities with tools that augment the authoring process such as Microsoft Word, discussion threads, calendars, broadcast announcements and external site links.

Other new features include the ability to personalize SharePoint Web parts according to user role and content access privilege.
