CSC has teamed with 1E to implement a power reduction strategy that will cut costs, conserve energy and reduce the carbon footprint of CSC's desktop infrastructure.

CSC is using 1E's Night Watchman software to automatically and safely power down more than 25,000 desktop computers during non-work hours. The move is expected to save more than 25 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year and eliminate 23,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions - equivalent to removing 4,600 cars from the road.
