Climate Savers Computing Initiative, of which CSC is a member, was selected as one of three non-profits taking part in the Free Holiday Wi-Fi program that will run through January 15, 2010. This program, created by Google, is providing holiday travelers with the gift of free Wi-Fi at select airports around the U.S.

In addition to helping raise awareness about Climate Savers' mission and goals, hundreds of thousands of travelers will be given the chance to "pay it forward" by donating to the cause and helping spread the message about power management. Travelers can make a donation to the Climate Savers Computing Initiative, which Google will match up to $250,000.

The funds raised during this donation drive will help Climate Savers develop and implement programs such as the upcoming "Power Down for the Planet 2010," which will provide students with tools for reducing energy consumption at their college or university while helping educate the next generation of green IT leaders.
