Uptime Institute's Global Green 100

CSC was recently selected as a 2009 Global Green 100 honoree by the Uptime Institute. The distinction celebrates those companies taking a visible and effective leadership position in the "greening" of their enterprise computing. The award recognizes CSC for outstanding commitment to energy efficiency for the betterment of our own business performance and the eco-sustainability of our planet.

"CSC is proud to be honored with this award. With 92,000 employees worldwide and strong client relationships, we can play a major role in reducing power consumption and CO2 emissions associated with information technology. From energy-saving actions like desktop power management to cost-effective energy-efficient data centers to thought leadership from our Leading Edge Forum, we are deeply committed to our green agenda," said Candace Labelle, director of the CSC GreenWay program.

The award was presented at the fourth annual research symposium, "LEAN, CLEAN & GREEN: Enterprise Computing and Data Center Peak Productivity, Reliability, Energy Efficiency & Eco-Sustainability," April 13-16, in New York. For more on the conference visit www.greenitnyc.com/.
