Top 10 Military Spouse Friendly Employers
CSC was among the Top 10 companies selected by Military Spouse magazine in their survey of large corporations “which have made the greatest effort and have had the greatest success in hiring the spouses of military troops.” The top-ranking companies were selected from a pool of approximately 2,500 organizations that earn a minimum of $1 billion in annual revenues. CSC was ranked No.11 in this prestigious Computerworld survey of the Top Green IT Users and Vendors. To arrive at the list, Computerworld reached out to experts to develop a set of rigorous criteria that would best identify the leaders in this field. InfoWorld Top 100 IT Projects of 2007: CSC’s Massachusetts Connector Web Site
To help uninsured residents find affordable health care plans, the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority, with assistance from CSC, developed the Commonwealth Connector — an interactive Web portal that integrates Vignette Application Portal 7.2 with other key technologies and various open-source developer tools. SAP Pinnacle Awards, 2007 Finalist
The SAP Global Partner Award program honors and recognizes SAP partners that have made significant contributions to the SAP community. Best New Shared Services Organization Excellence Award: Runner-Up
The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), a public-private partnership between NASA and CSC, was named runner-up for the Best New Shared Services Organization Excellence Award. This award honors the most successful shared services organizations launched within the last three years. Best-Practice Partner Award
CSC has been named a "Best-Practice Partner" by APQC, a nonprofit research organization. APQC identified CSC and four other companies in fall 2006 for excellence in innovation and invited them to participate in APQC’s 2006-2007 Consortium Benchmarking Study entitled, “Successfully Embedding Innovation: Strategy and Tactics." A Knowledge Transfer Session and award presentation in March 2007 culminated months of information sharing among CSC, the other award-winners, APQC, and various commercial and government organizations sponsoring the study. Back-to-Back Awards for CSC's Army Logistics Modernization Program
CSC's U.S. Army Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) received the 2006 Excellence in Enterprise Integration Award from the Association for Enterprise Integration and an honorable mention for Military Logistics Program of the Year from the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement. 2006 Defense Employer Support Freedom Award
Among the 15 companies receiving the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award in July 2006, CSC was the only IT company. 2006 Robert W. Campbell Award
2005 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
CSC firm DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations (DM) is the sole management and operations contractor for the Department of Energy's Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), the U.S. emergency oil stockpile and the largest emergency petroleum supply in the world. Several of DM’s sites were hit by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, displacing the majority of employees from their homes and worksites. DM managed to restore operations immediately and to begin the Oil Exchange Program, which allowed refiners to continue operations, in fewer than five days after Hurricane Katrina.
DM is the only company ever to have received both the Robert W. Campbell Award and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Campbell Award is presented annually to companies that distinguish themselves by integrating health, safety and environmental management into their business operating systems. The Baldrige Award is the nation's highest presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence.
