On July 14, 2008 the Millennia contract ws extended to allow new orders to be placed on it through October 27, 2009. task orders on this contract can run for 5 years beyond the end of the contract to October 27, 2014.

Both CSC and Legacy Dyncorp hold the Millennia contract.

Sponsored by the U.S. General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service (FTS), Millennia is largely based on the former FEDSIM 9600 MAC contract, which exceeded its order ceiling early and ended at $1.6 billion. Millennia is an ID/IQ contract vehicle with a task order ceiling of $25 billion.

The Millennia contract is a very flexible vehicle; it allows end clients to obtain a broad range of high quality IT support services across all business and mission-oriented disciplines. Because it is a multiple-award contract, vendors have already been selected, ensuring necessary experience and credentials to manage large task orders.

All 14 regional GSA FTS offices can issue task orders under the Millennia contract. Any Federal Government agency or office is eligible for Millennia services and support through May 2009. The estimated time from release of the task order request to start work is 6 to 8 weeks.
