CSC ALLIANCE WITH BUSINESS OBJECTS YIELDS 200TH JOINT CLIENT
Communiqués -- Novembre (mois) 28, 2007
Milestone Reached for Business Intelligence Component of CSC’s RISKMASTER SoftwareEL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 28 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that the 200th client has licensed its RISKMASTER Business Intelligence Solutions (BIS) component, which incorporates software from Business Objects. CSC and Business Objects met this milestone when Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services Inc., one of the largest industrial services companies in North America, licensed RISKMASTER BIS to support its claims and risk management activities.
CSC’s RISKMASTER software provides self-insured organizations, public entities and third-party insurance claims administrators with a single system for claims and risk management. RISKMASTER BIS gives users interactive Web access to claims and loss reports, database information and other business data from a single collaborative environment. It consolidates information from RISKMASTER and offers a real-time, drag-and-drop interface that enables users to generate ad hoc and scheduled reports.
Licensees of RISKMASTER BIS include Wawa Inc., a self-insured convenience store chain; The Kentucky League of Cities, a membership organization that includes almost 400 municipal governments; and Risk Enterprise Management (REM), a third-party administrator of claims, managed care and risk management solutions.
“By working together, CSC and Business Objects make it significantly easier for us to keep our focus on delivering cost-effective claim metrics,” said REM President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Riney. “RISKMASTER enabled us to tailor our risk management information products and offer state-of-the-art analysis tools.”
CSC and Business Objects formed their original equipment manufacturer and systems integration alliance in 2001. Today the agreement includes CSC’s Exceed, POINT IN, SICS/nt, Colossus, Fraud Evaluator, Fault Evaluator, Legal Solutions Suite, Advanced Claims and Agency Link software products.
“By integrating Business Objects’ business intelligence software with our property and casualty insurance solutions, we enable our clients to readily access and analyze business information in ways that help them make more insightful and strategic decisions,” said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Insurance Division of CSC’s Financial Services Sector. “Since including RISKMASTER in our alliance, we’ve been able to reduce the complexity of managing large amounts of data for our self-insured clients as well.”
