CSC TO REMARKET SCSI'S RISK ANALYSIS SOLUTION TO THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY
Austin, Texas, Oct. 7 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today a new alliance with Systems Consulting Services Inc. (SCSI), Ellicott City, Md., that enables CSC to remarket SCSI's Business Information Analysis System (BIAS[TM]) to the financial services industry.
BIAS, an innovative e-business solution, provides automated risk analysis capabilities for the property/casualty market with applicability across a broader range of financial services industry sectors in areas including e-business, customer relationship management, point-of-sale marketing, insurance and banking risk assessment.
"CSC's financial services market expertise and solutions, combined with the strength of our BIAS software, will be very beneficial to our customers in executing their strategies in the electronic marketplace," said Anne D. Ostrom, vice president, SCSI.
Using BIAS, clients can automate the retrieval of a wide array of risk assessment information for property/casualty insurance and other financial risk analysis. Combining this data with trade references, bank references and other information allows companies to analyze pertinent information quickly in order to reach comprehensive decisions that are more accurate and consistent, leading to profitable results. BIAS provides real-time access to external information via emerging delivery channels such as the Internet, intranet and call centers.
Robert Madill, vice president of global industry and product management, CSC's Financial Services Group, said, "BIAS will provide our property/casualty clients the ability to compete in the new arena of e-business. Because BIAS has the ability to intelligently and incrementally control the ordering and assessment of risk information, it provides a potential for substantial cost reduction."
Founded in 1986, SCSI specializes in state-of-the-art risk analysis systems. Its BIAS software enables companies to automate the retrieval of risk information from multiple online information providers, giving them the ability to make informed decisions quickly and profitably. BIAS' flexibility enables users to switch back and forth between different sources of information easily.
