Gain Control of Documents with CSC’s RISKMASTER Media Content Management
CSC has introduced a new component of its RISKMASTER® claims and risk management software that lets self-insured organizations take full advantage of digital imaging technology by streamlining the process of managing claim documents.
CSC’s RISKMASTER Media Content Management is an optional component of RISKMASTER X that provides a single point of access to notices of loss, medical bills, police reports and other documents. This fully Web-based system gives users 24x7 access to a wide range of formats including TIFF, PDF, Word and Excel as well as multimedia files of recorded statements.
Media Content Management lets organizations create and modify folders and subfolders, search, index and re-index folders, and distribute information instantaneously to appropriate personnel. Media files can be accessed through a simple paperclip icon in any claim or event record within RISKMASTER X. Users can rename files, move documents to subfolders, identify document types and retrieve documents.
Easily Organize and Manage Documents
RISKMASTER Media Content Management helps organizations streamline the process of organizing and managing content:
- Create and Add Documents. Documents can be added through importing existing files, using templates, printing to file, scanning and entering through a Web URL. No matter how documents are added, they are available for use associated with the event, claim, user and policy.
- Create and Modify Subfolders. Users can manually create subfolders, or subfolders can be automatically created as the folder is created. In addition, users can update or delete subfolders and adjust the document type.
- Search for Documents. The system enables searches for event or claim folders using full or partial information, allowing users to easily locate and retrieve documents.
- Index and Re-Index Folders. Indexing is quick and easy with links to events, claims, users and policies. Re-indexing lets users move an entire event or claim folder and its contents to another folder or create a new event or claim folder while re-indexing content.
- Delete Documents. Recycle bins store all deleted documents until they are permanently deleted by the user.
The capabilities of Media Content Management can be expanded with additional features to support high-volume document capture and processing and networking with third-party information sources.
