Companies continue to make steady progress across eight areas of supply chain competency, resulting in significant, positive impact to sales and earnings. But there’s a sizeable gap between the performance of the leaders and the rest of the field — a gap many firms need to start closing now. Financial officers can play a critical role in helping their businesses identify the gaps, find the means to close them, and improve overall financial performance for the enterprise. These are among the key findings of the fifth annual Global Survey of Supply Chain Progress, conducted by CSC, Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, and Supply Chain Management Review magazine.
